Privacy Choices

At Dynsell LLC, we believe you should have full control over your data. CaptionAddr is designed with privacy as a core principle — your videos are processed entirely on your device and never uploaded to any server. This page explains the choices you have regarding the limited data we do collect.

Your Video and Audio Data

Your content stays on your device. CaptionAddr processes all video and audio locally using on-device speech recognition (WhisperKit). We never have access to your video files, audio data, or generated captions. There is no setting to change this because it is a fundamental design decision — your content is always private.

Analytics Data

CaptionAddr uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized, aggregate usage data to help us improve the app. This data does not personally identify you.

How to Opt Out of Analytics

You can limit or disable analytics data collection through your iOS device settings:

  1. Open your iPhone's Settings app
  2. Navigate to Privacy & Security
  3. Tap Analytics & Improvements
  4. Toggle off Share iPhone Analytics

This will limit the analytics data shared by all apps on your device, including CaptionAddr.

App Tracking Transparency

On iOS 14.5 and later, Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework requires apps to request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites.

How to Manage Tracking

  1. Open your iPhone's Settings app
  2. Navigate to Privacy & Security → Tracking
  3. You can toggle tracking permissions for CaptionAddr individually, or disable Allow Apps to Request to Track to block all tracking requests

Subscription Data

All subscription purchases are processed by Apple. We do not store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. We only receive a confirmation of your subscription status.

How to Manage Your Subscription

  1. Open your iPhone's Settings app
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find CaptionAddr and manage or cancel your subscription

You can also manage subscriptions directly at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Crash Reports

CaptionAddr uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymized crash reports. These reports help us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports do not contain any of your personal content (videos, audio, or captions).

To disable crash report sharing, follow the same steps described above under "Analytics Data" to disable analytics sharing on your device.

Data Deletion Requests

If you wish to request deletion of any data associated with your use of CaptionAddr, please contact us at CaptionAddr@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days, as required by applicable law.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
