Accessibility

Access matters

A useful caption tool—and a website you can read and navigate.

This website

The site uses semantic headings and landmarks, a skip-to-content link, visible keyboard focus, native expandable FAQs, readable contrast and layouts that reflow on small screens. Navigation and content work without JavaScript. Appearance follows your device’s light or dark preference, with no autoplay media or required motion.

You can use browser zoom and keyboard navigation. Legal notices can be printed or saved using your browser. We test common accessibility and layout issues, but automated checks do not prove every experience works for every person or assistive technology.

Captions and the app

CaptionAddr creates captions burned into a movie, rather than a selectable closed-caption track. The current app does not export SRT or VTT files. Speech recognition can be inaccurate or incomplete, and captions may need changes for speaker identification, sound descriptions, timing, contrast or reading speed.

Using CaptionAddr does not by itself make a video or service compliant with WCAG, broadcast standards or accessibility law. Review the final video for your audience’s needs. Website accessibility checks are not certification of the iOS app or every exported video.

Report a barrier

Email CaptionAddr@gmail.com with the page or app feature, device/browser, assistive technology if relevant, and the problem you encountered. You can request an alternative way to receive information. Please avoid including sensitive content.

We will consider reports and work with you to address barriers. We do not claim an independent accessibility certification or guarantee a particular resolution time.
